Few important facts you should know before coming to Sardinia.
SIESTA!!!
Siesta lasts from 13 until 17 everyday. During this period everything is closed. There are some exemptions, but not many. Â At the petrol stations you can pay only with cash in the cash machine -credit cards are not accepted. Restaurants are open from 18 but you can order food from 19.
How to reach us?
The fastest way to reach Sardinia is by plane. The most popular airport is Cagliari, which is located 70 km from our station. For more information check our website under vacation/how to reach us.
How to take equipment by plane?
Every airline takes sports equipment. Weight of the package cannot exceed 23 kg and it costs between 30-50 €.
Things you should bring along for the kite/windsurfing/wakeboarding holidays.

- sunscreem with high UV,
- sunglasses,
- hat,
- ID,
- insurance,
- warm clothes (after a day on the water you might get cold),
- good humor
If you have your own wetsuit, water shoes or gloves take it with you. Otherwise, rental or purchase is possible on site.
Are there any weight/age limits to start kite/windsurfing/ wakeboarding course?
For windsurfing courses there are no weight or age limits, everyone can do it. For children (6-10years old) we recommend private lessons. For children less than 6 years old windsurfing lessons are the perfect way to spend vacation time. Classes are conducted in a fun way, which is the most suitable for the youngsters. We guarantee your kids will be thrilled.
Everyone above 35kg can attend kitesurfing lessons. For wakeboarding there is only one limitation, the ability to hold the handle in your hands.
Do I have to be able to swim if I want to take lessons?
Yes you have to. If you want to take part in any watersport, you should be able to swim.
What kinds of weather conditions are suitable for starting kite/windsurfing/wakeboarding lessons?
To start kitesurfing lessons we need about 8 knt (3 Bouforts). Windsurfing lessons can be conducted from 1 Boufort. Â During non-windy days we recommend wakeboarding lessons. You will learn skills that arevery useful in all water sports. Furthermore, wakeboarding is a blast and triggers a lot of adrenaline. Â In the event of too strong wind, or rain, all lessons and courses are canceled.
Would you rescue me if I get to far from shore?
Of course we will!!! Our school is equipped with a rescue boat. If you are renting from us, or learning with us, rescue fee is included.
Winds:
The most common winds are the Mistral (side shore, side-on shore) and the Sirocco (side shore, side-off shore). From June till September there is also a thermic effect which adds 5-10 knt to the actual wind speed. Usually wind picks up at 10 o’clock and stops at 19. Average wind speeds are: from June till August 20-30 Knt; April, May, October 15-20 knt; September 15-25 knt.
Restaurants, Shops, Entertainment
Our station is equipped with a bar and a restaurant. After your lessons or good sessions on the water you can; eat, drink, sit, relax, or have a nap in our chillout zone. InCarbonia- Iglesias province you can find a lot of shops and restaurants. Italian cuisine is well known from its unique flavors. Sardinia is full of small pizzerias and tratorias, which are worth a visit. In the St. Antioco harbor it is possible to buy fresh fish and all kinds of seafood. Among many Sardinian specialties there are the Botarga (something similar to caviar) and the Pecorino Sardo (well known hard cheese).
To fully experience Sardinia you should make sure to visit few small villages and port towns. They’re truly unique and seem untouched by the modern world. If you want to go for a party, we recommend visiting clubs and beach bars on St.Antioco Island, or going to Cagliari.  There also is a cable wakepark (Sesitec 2.0) located near Siliqua, which is only 35km away from our station.
Weather in Sardinia, when to go?
Sardinia is the hottest place in the Italy. The type of the climate is typical for the islands, rainy winter and hot summer. On average there are 300 sunny days throughout a year.
